A Brief Look At: The Anza-Borrego Super Bloom
If there's one reason to appreciate the recent rain we've been having, it's the super bloom taking place in Borrego Springs and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
We were fortunate enough to see the wildflowers last Saturday. As we made our way towards Salvation Mountain, we stopped by a field of dandelions and snapped a couple of shots with our rattan chair and handmade pillows. We marveled at how these yellow flowers were able to flourish in the dry heat and sand.
Here at Mezcla Designs, we are constantly inspired by the desert and by those who make a living amongst the cacti and badlands. Just being surrounded by the various colors of the desert lilies, golden poppies, ghost flowers, desert sand verbena and sunflowers made us want to run back to the drawing board and think up designs for our future projects.
For more information on the super bloom, keep checking Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association's page for updates. We also recommend bringing plenty of water and sunscreen, as the desert sun can be unforgiving. Enjoy!
