DIY Crystal Terrarium
Terrariums can make any room feel spacious. From the fresh soil to the shiny quartz, each layer of this crystal terrarium is a testament to the beauty of nature.
What you'll need:
- Glass jar
- Sheet moss
- Potting soil
- Activated carbon
- Quartz crystal
Line the bottom of the jar with activated carbon, which can be found at your local pet store. Sprinkle a thin layer of dirt for a more camouflaged effect.
Stack your desired amount of rocks. We chose river rocks to match the natural simplicity of the crystal.
Gently begin to flatten a thin layer of moss in preparation for the potting soil. Don't use too much, as you'll be adding more for the final layer of your terrarium.
Add a layer of potting soil to the mix. Press down gently.
Begin to insert the rest of your moss into the jar. Stack the moss higher to one side in order to prop up the crystal.
Make a little nest for your crystal to sit in.
Position your crystal near the sunlight for extra sparkle.
Alternative option: For a more greener look, use reindeer moss for the last layer instead.
